We don't have a rule that qualifies teachers for study sabbaticals after ten years of service, although I'm sure there are some districts that might grant it in special cases. I've never known anyone who has gotten this opportunity.
My wife is a teacher and they only get a summer break, about 10 weeks and that's it. She does get the opportunity to go to California and further her knowledge of the Reggio Emilia approach, founded in Italy.

...most of them use the time to party though! :P
